Bitossi Italian ceramic vase stripes signed, Italy, 1960s. Designed by Aldo Londi, Bitossi's artistic director from 1946 until the late 1990s. The pattern is the rare Moorish stripes - a tribute to the important cultural and scientific contributions of Northern Africa during their occupation of Spain from 711 to 1492. Chartreuse and orange glaze over brown.
