Alvino Bagni Ashtray, Ceramic, Stripes Blue, Yellow, White, Signed. Small scale scooped form ashtray or bowl with hand drawn dashed lines, glazed in light and dark blue, yellow, green and black over white glazed terracotta. Signed in black glaze on the underside: R 142/A Raymor Italy. Retains a Raymor decal which reads: 225 A BAG.

Alvino Bagni (1919-2009) was an important Italian ceramist and was mentored by Aldo Londi, in the early part of his career, before opening Bagni Ceramiche in 1956 in Lastra a Signa - Florence, Italy. Bagni Ceramiche supplied both the European and North American markets (via Raymor) until his retirement in 1992.
