Aldo Londi for Bitossi Cinese Vase, Ceramic, Blue, Gold, Italy, 1960s. The cylindrical body is covered in a richly textured blue-green glaze, with a tapered gold-glazed base decorated with impressed spiral circles. Signed in black glaze on the underside: "52/3B ITALY," with the original "Created in Italy for Rosenthal-Netter Inc." distributor decal intact. Londi's Cinese series drew from the forms and patinas of ancient Chinese bronze vessels, coinciding with the chinoiserie trend in home interiors of the 1950s–60s.
