Guido Gambone Ceramic Table Lamp, Abstract Red Chartreuse, Signed
Guido Gambone Ceramic Table Lamp, Abstract Red Chartreuse, Signed. A large-scale ceramic table lamp by Florentine master Guido Gambone (1909–1969), decorated on both front and back with a bold abstract composition in vivid red glaze against a matte white ground, with characteristic chartreuse accents at the neck. The stoneware body has substantial presence — a hallmark of Gambone's mature studio work from the 1950s.
Although the wooden base was not removed for inspection, Gambone consistently signed his pieces on the underside: "Gambone Italy" accompanied by his iconic donkey mark, confirming authenticity.
Dimensions: Ceramic body: 19.13" H. Overall height base to socket: 23.25". Wood base: 1.5" H × 8" W × 5.75" D.
Height: 34.75 in (88.27 cm)
Width: 9 in (22.86 cm)
Depth: 6 in (15.24 cm)
Good: Wear consistent with age and use. The lamp's electrical parts and cord are old. Rewiring recommended. Natural glaze miss - photo 9 ( at the back of the lamp at the base). Light crazing - typical of Gambone.
