1960s Aldo Londi for Bitossi Rosenthal Netter Ceramic Horse, Signed

Large twelve-inch ceramic horse sculpture designed by Aldo Londi for Bitossi and imported by Rosenthal Netter, produced in the 1960s. The figure is glazed in cyan blue, contrasted with matte chocolate-brown hooves, and features incised detailing and a hand-worked surface characteristic of Londi’s figurative production.

Aldo Londi produced horse figures for Bitossi in several sizes, including approximately 10 inches, 12 inches, and 16 inches. This example is signed with the original paper label reading: “Created in Italy for Rosenthal Netter INC B 253/18.”
