Sean Earley "Someone", Oil Painting on Cabinet Door, Portrait, Signed
A well-executed and commanding portrait of a man, painted in Earley's distinctive style — the face rendered in swirling, curvilinear brushwork of light green, peach, and white, with stylized almond-shaped green eyes, embellished ears, and full orange lips set against a warm burnt orange background. The support is a weathered white-painted wood cabinet door, complete with original hardware, which Earley incorporated as both ground and frame — a hallmark of his inventive approach to materials.
Signed lower left in silver marker: Sean Earley. On the verso: the title "Someone", along with the artist's Brooklyn, NY address and phone number. Image size: 12 x 12 inches.
