Set of 10 Imperial Stone Faux Malachite Octagonal Placemats, Signed, USA, 1980s. Set of ten octagonal faux malachite placemats in lacquered acrylic by Imperial Stone Ltd. of Long Island City, New York, 1980s. Eight mats in deep green tones with a dense, tightly swirled pattern; two in a brighter green with a larger-scale swirl. Each mat is backed in white felt and retains the manufacturer's gold foil label. Imperial Stone placemats were originally retailed through Bloomingdale's, and one mat bears a vintage Bloomingdale's label. Dimensions: 17.5 in. W x 12 in. D x 0.5 in. H each

Good: Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. All mats show light surface scratches; one has a prominent 3.5 inch scratch at center  and another a small chip to one corner. Two mats are a brighter green than the rest.
